This year I’ve taken 24095 pictures. I got my DSLR back in August 2011 and in total I’ve taken 33075 pictures since that day, and I’ve taken twice as many this year as the year before.
I only really started being interested in photography at the start of 2011 where I begged and borrowed cameras from whoever would lend me them and eventually made the plunge to get my own. Since then it’s opened up so many opportunities for me ranging from getting flown to Sweden to shoot a wedding to photographing Ben Howard at the 02. Having a camera and doing what I do has totally overhauled my life for the better as I suddenly had a direction I can see myself going in.
All this experience I’ve built up also payed off in my getting a job as an editor at Studio Bushfire in Felixstowe which I love doing. It’s the first job I’ve had for a long time where I’ve been able to wake up and be excited about going in to work and for that I’m grateful.
Plans for the 2013:
I’m hoping to continue doing what I’m doing in short.
I want to try and get more involved with Kolekto Magazine who are responsible for getting me into some high-profile gigs.
I also want to try and get more in with doing some extreme sports stuff. I know a few people who are into bmx-ing and skating who I’d love to try and get in with.
Also watch this space for an upcoming planned training series that’s in the works.
But in the meantime here’s a few shots I took while at home over Christmas. Enjoy :)
